I love them so much. I promise you I'll have a Manuel V8 R8 someday. I'm just wary of it right now when the brand new ones will be out within a year...

The only good thing about ordering a new one instead of getting a used one that has already depreciated a bit is that you could order it exactly the way you want it.
The way I want it would be impossible to find used:
*Nogaro Blue
*Manuél
*Coupe
*Brown leather with the diamond patterns
*Almost all options

My E90 M3 can probably keep up with the V8 R8
Also the V8 R8 weighs more than the F430 and has less HP. That's unacceptable!

I would probably slap twin turbos on. That motor is capable of like 500+
And, the R8 isn't a hardcore sports car. AWD, heavy, it's really just like a great DD, so I'm okay with 400 something horses...

Haha how much would it cost to add the twin turbos? The V8 is probably capable of at least 800 HP with twin turbos. My M3's V8 can hit 700 with just a supercharger.
But I don't like modding cars. I don't want to deal with the engine exploding.
I know the R8 isn't hardcore. And I know that the V8 would be totally awesome to drive around. But there are 3 things that would bug me:
1. The V10 sounds better, especially with after market exhaust
2. The cheaper RS 5 can keep up with the R8 V8
3. If I was you and switching from your Merc to the R8 V8 I would feel like it's a lateral move because while the R8 would be more of a sports car your Merc has sooooo much power
